The Many Hats Club Isolation Con
Our friends over at The Many Hats Club and their fantastic team of volunteers are hosting a (free-of-charge) virtual conference on the 19th of April to raise money for the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) aka Doctors Without Borders who are doing some fantastic work in developing countries hit hard by the Coronavirus.
They are calling for speakers and have opened up three online tracks for talks (Blue Team, Purple Team and Red Team) with some fantastic keynote speakers already confirmed in the form of Dave Kennedy and Tanya Janca. They are also organizing a Capture-The-Flag event and will have two great after-party activities; a pub quiz (hosted by the Beerfarmers) and a special gig hosted by ytcracker.
They also have a bonus meme competition track for you pro memers out there!
As an infosec non-profit they will not be providing advertising or sponsorship packages for this conference, though some generous organizations and individuals are providing prizes for giveaways and contests to be run during the conference.
Isolation can have its challenges and the Many Hats Club want to bring people together, create new opportunities for learning, and ultimately use this as an opportunity to raise some money for those who are helping others during the crisis.
Isolation Con will be completely free to attend, and will be broadcast on Twitch (twitch.tv/themanyhatsclub) and over on the Many Hats Discord (discord.gg/infosec). If you want to volunteer to help, please message @cybersecstu on Twitter!
We wanted to thank the following organizations and people for donating prizes to the event, helping making it special and contributing to a wonderful cause.
Offensive Security for donating 2 PWK vouchers
Infosec Pigeon aka @clarkee for donating a Hak5 Signal Owl.
David Evenden aka @JediMammoth for donating CTF platform
